Accepting payments via PayPal Standard

With PayPal Standard Checkout, customers can pay you right from within their web browser. PayPal Standard enables you to accept online payments from everyone, regardless of whether they have a PayPal account or not.

Please note that you will need a PayPal for Business account to accept payments on Hiveage invoices. Just like with a personal account, there are no setup or monthly fees with a PayPal for Business account.

To enable Paypal Standard Checkout on your Hiveage invoices, please follow the below steps.

In your Hiveage account

1. Visit the Integrations section (using the main menu).
2. Click on the PayPal module

You will be taken to the PayPal module page, where you have to enter your PayPal Client ID and the PayPal Secret in the required field. These are found in your PayPal account, as mentioned below.

In your PayPal account

Go to the PayPal Developer Dashboard (Make sure you are logged in with the PayPal account you want to connect.) Here, you need to Create or Select an App.

1. Select Apps & Credentials on the main menu
2. Click on the app if you already have one, or Click Create App if you don’t already have one.

Your credentials will be listed inside the app page. You will need:

1. Client ID (visible)
2. Secret (hidden until you click Show)

Please copy these values into the relevant fields in the PayPal Standard module in Hiveage. When doing so, make sure you are in Live mode and NOT Sandbox in the PayPal account.
